She collaborates with a wonderful team of continuity care midwives to give her women comprehensive pregnancy care from first visit, through to postpartum.

About Dr Georgia Heathcote

Dr Georgia Heathcote (She/Her) is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who is dedicated to supporting women on their health journey at all stages of life. From young women with common and more complex health needs, through to midlife women experiencing menopause and beyond, for Dr Georgia there is no better job than helping women feel the best they can during some of the most exciting and life-changing moments.

Practicing at Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane, where she completed her specialty training, Dr Georgia brings a fresh perspective to best practice for women-centred care and offers an informed and collaborative approach, working closely with her patients for the best outcomes.

Dr Georgia provides a full range of gynaecological and obstetric services across normal, high-risk, and complex pregnancies and addresses specialty gynaecological areas, including persistent pelvic pain, complex menstrual problems, cervical abnormalities and menopause.

Dr Georgia is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and completed a Fellowship in Obstetric Education and Simulation Training at Mater Mothers’ Hospital, enhancing her skills in clinical communication and emergency management. She enjoys sharing her passion and experience with the next generation of medical students and junior doctors and delivers regular training and lectures to the medical community.

When she’s not working, Dr Georgia loves a good coffee, gardening and spending time with her husband and two young children. She’s an avid reader and loyal member of her beloved book club, which she religiously attends for the good food, laughs and occasionally to discuss the book!
